Is there Cash in Your Attic…or Basement…or…

All of us have something that we think might be valuable, but we aren’t sure if it is. Maybe it’s an old bank, or a painting, a piece of pottery, some china, a piece of memorabilia, or that odd thing your Uncle gave you, saying “Hold on to it. It’s valuable.”

Well, now you can find out and really get a better idea what it’s worth. Come and join us at Merchants Bank in downtown Winona from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. September 28, for the Merchants Bank Appraisal Fair. Twin Cities appraisal experts and area coin experts will be on hand to help you better understand the value of your items.AppraisalFairEN

You can have one item appraised for $8 or three items appraised for $20. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Winona County Historical Society.

Does your item have a great story behind it? Is there some mystery? What do you know about its history? Has it been part of the family for generations? Or is it something you picked up yesterday? Is it something your children might finally want? That is, if it’s really worth something.

Start looking in the closets or under the bed, or finally bring out that treasure from that secret place, and then bring it to Merchants Bank in downtown Winona.

For practical purposes, we ask that you give serious consideration to refraining from bringing large items, including furniture. We won’t have any way to bring the pieces into the bank, and having our appraisers leave their stations will slow down the process for all involved. We also ask that you refrain from bringing firearms.

We look forward to seeing you at the Merchants Bank Appraisal Fair and hearing your stories. For more information, call Mark Metzler at (507) 494-0524.
